The presenter, Dana Sahian, is a Speech and Language Pathologist who took her career to new heights.  Dana has combined her speech and language pathology training with assistive technology.

 

By the end of this workshop, participants will more knowledgeable about:

  • The different uses of technology (e.g., classroom, educational and assistive technology)
  • Student’s rights in the classroom in regards to their assistive technology
  • What tools constitute ‘assistive technology’
  • How different assistive technology tools can be used to help with school-related tasks such as reading, writing and organization
  • How the iPad can be used as an assistive technology tool for modifying, and making more accessible, any type of schoolwork

This program is intended for families in the Hamilton, Halton, Waterloo and Wellington area. Priority will be given to families in this region. If you register and you live outside of this region, your registration may be cancelled.
