East - Feeding Workshop with Quinte Children’s Treatment Centre

Registration is closed for this event

Autism Ontario is proud to be partnering with an Occupational Therapist and a Registered Dietician with Quinte Children’s Treatment Centre for a two-part series on feeding issues in children with ASD.

Many children with autism have difficulty eating a healthy, balanced diet.  They may struggle with medical or gastro-intestinal (GI) issues, developmental delays, oral motor dysfunction, sensory sensitivities, behavioural disruptions, rigidity, selectivity and difficulty participating in group meals. This two-part series (May 5th @ 7-8pm and May 12th @ 7-8pm) will outline nutrition and healthy eating guidelines for children.  It will discuss strategies to establish positive eating habits and increase the amount and variety of foods eaten.  Relief and hope will be offered for caregivers who are tired of the constant stress of trying to get a child to eat.

*This workshop will take place over Zoom. The link will be sent to you the day before with login information. *
