Top 6 Tips To Effectively Analyze Your Company's Online Training Needs -  eLearning Industry

Meaningful learning opportunities can happen during any daily activity and they don’t need to be structured or put in the calendar. In fact, children learn best through their everyday routines and within their natural environments. This webinar will build on what you already do as a family and show you how to incorporate learning and connection opportunities into three everyday routines. Over the course of each session, participants will learn how to promote their child’s communication, interaction, engagement, and development.  Autism Ontario in partnership with Northumberland Child Development Centre will be offering a series of workshops for families. Please see the different sessions below.

Session 1: Play Time: You will learn how to get on your child’s level, how to follow their lead, and how to effectively enter their play. By using these techniques at Play Time, you can promote communication, joint interaction, and expand play skills.  April 12 12:00 – 1:00pm

Session 2: Getting Ready to go Time: You will learn how to make transitions playful, how to develop a consistent transitional routine, and how to effectively balance parental support and child independence during dressing. Through consistent routines and communication at times when you are Getting

Ready To Go, you will experience increased independence, more successful transitions and outings, and fewer power struggles.  May 3 6:00 – 7:00 pm

 Session 3: Dinner Time: You will learn how to develop consistent mealtime habits and routines, how to set up opportunities for communicative requests, and how to promote fine motor skills and utensil use. By

establishing a consistent Dinner Time, you will observe increased communication, stronger fine motor skills, and increased confidence with utensils. June 7 12:00 – 1:00 pm
