Toronto & Simcoe- Puberty Workshop

Registration is closed for this event

Autism Ontario invites parents and caregivers to take part in a workshop on supporting your child through puberty.

We are excited to welcome guest speaker, Janice Holsmer to guide us through an information presentation.

The goal of the workshop is to have an open, honest discussion about children’s sexual health and development. Many physical and emotional changes begin at puberty and continue throughout the teen years. By learning about the expected changes that occur during puberty, you will feel better prepared to have open conversations and talk with your child about what to expect as their body and brain goes through changes.

Some children go through puberty at a faster rate than others but overall, puberty usually lasts 3 to 4 years. Whether your child will be going through puberty soon or is already there, we’ll talk about ways you can support them through the physical and emotional changes.

Please note that registration is required. A Zoom link will be emailed to all registered participants.
