Allison gladly welcomes you to come learn more about Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and how this treatment approach can help children and youth on the autism spectrum. This presentation is intended for parents and caregivers of children and adolescents who are interested in learning more about Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and how it can be used to help children and youth with concurrent symptoms of mood and anxiety. Participants will learn more about the following:
· What is CBT and the core components of the therapy model
· How CBT can help children and adolescents learn how to manage anxiety and other emotional-behavioural responses
· What to expect during the treatment phase
· Considerations when using CBT with individuals on the autism spectrum
· How parents can be included in the therapy process
The 40-minute presentation will be followed by a period for questions and answers.
