We are living in a very technology advanced and digital world. Everything is online- from shopping and appointments, to games, entertainment and social connections. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) reports that youth 10-14 spend nearly 9 hours a day in front of a screen using entertainment media and half of those are watching television.

Let’s explore the effects of overconsumption of digital screens and media and how they are affecting our children and youth with ASD, learn positive support strategies around technology boundaries in the home and how to introduce and explore alternative hobbies.

Outcomes:

-Effects of overconsumption of digital screens & media and how it affects our children and youth

-How to explore new hobbies and activities with your children and youth

-Learn positive support strategies to help set boundaries around technology use in the home
