Durham Region - Planning for the future of your loved one on the Autism Spectrum

Registration is closed for this event

Autism Ontario and Bright Futures Abilities Network are pleased to bring you a caregiver workshop about planning for the future of your loved one on the Autism Spectrum.

We will be sharing information about the different planning tools available to provide for your loved one and how the Bright Futures Plan brings these all together for your family. We will discuss the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), the benefits of the ODSP and how to apply for it. We will also discuss the Henson Trust and how it serves to provide for your loved one after you are gone.  We will review different methods of funding the Trust and will share how the Bright Futures Plan can provide a decent quality of life for your family member. Finally, we will be providing an overview of the Registered Disability Savings Plan and discuss how the Government can provide you with up to $90,000 of Grants and Bonds to help secure your loved one's financial future.

The presentation will include frequent Q&A periods though out so bring your questions.

Zoom links will be sent to participants the day before the session.
