Toronto- Self Regulation Workshop
Toronto- Self Regulation Workshop
Autism Ontario and the Macaulay Centre invite parents and caregivers to attend a virtual workshop that will focus on helping children cope with big emotions and managing new behaviours.
We all have good days and bad days. As adults, we know how to cope when things don’t go our way. Our little ones have no idea what to do when their feelings get too big, so they cope by screaming, avoiding, having tantrums or with aggression. We need to teach them a better way to handle how they feel and teach them strategies to self-regulate. The younger we start to teach, the more natural it becomes.
This workshop will explain what self-regulation is, how it affects us all and provide practical strategies for helping your little one cope with big emotions. In addition, we will discuss how to manage new behaviors, as they arise
The workshop will be virtual with details to follow upon registration.
