Toronto – Open Skies for Autism: Airport Familiarization Tour
Autism Ontario, in partnership with Toronto Pearson Airport, Air Canada and Jake’s House invite families to Open Skies for Autism.
Children and adults on the autism spectrum and their families can participate in this simulated airport and flight experience to familiarize themselves with the entire travel process. The event will include check in, security screening, boarding, pre-flight safety training, and in-flight service and entertainment.
The group will depart from a domestic gate, board an Air Canada Airbus, and be towed for a short time (30-40 min) before returning to the gate.
When: Sat, Nov. 9, 2019, 7AM to 11AM (Check-in 7AM-8AM; boarding 9AM, flight “departs” at 10AM and returns approx. 10:30AM)
Where: Toronto Pearson Airport, Terminal 1 Departures Level, Air Canada Check in Aisle 3
Participants can park in T1 garage and bring their parking stub with them to have their parking validated at the event.
Participants must all bring valid government issued ID with them to participate. All participants must sign a photo waiver(s).
