Mississauga - 8 Week Adapted Martial Arts Program (Higher Functioning)
Registration opens November 20 at 9:00AM
Children with ASD, ages 7+, are invited to attend 8-weeks of private martial arts class in south Mississauga at the Academy of Martial Arts. This program will teach fundamentals of martial arts, with a focus on adapted instruction for all participants.
Students will learn:
- Focus
- Anti-bullying and how to avoid a bad situation
- Standing self defence and ground self defence.
- Self-confidence
This is a program for individuals with ASD who are able to follow group instructions independently. Children must be able to participate without parental assistance.

Program Cost
The Academy of Martial Arts Mississauga/South Oakville have extended preferential pricing to Autism Ontario families. This 8 week program is being offered at an extremely low cost of $120 which includes 8 weeks of program and a uniform. Payment is to be made directly to the AMA program, but pre-registration with Autism Ontario is required.
Registration Drop-In Date; January 7 2020 from 5:00-8:00PM
Academy of Martial Arts has organized a drop-in date for families participating in the 8-week program! Families are able to drop off their registration form, pay for the 8 week program, visit the studio, pick-up their uniform, and meet the instructors. If you aren’t able to make this date, please contact msalhia@amadojo.com to make alternative arrangements. Participants must complete this requirements to participate on the 1ST day.

This program is open to all families in Central West including Peel, Halton, Hamilton, Wellington, and Waterloo
This is a program for individuals with ASD who are able to follow group instructions independently. Children must be able to participate without parental assistance.
Supervision of children/youth at this program is the sole responsibility of parents/guardians and caregivers; childcare will not be provided. Caregivers must remain present during the program.
This program is intended for individuals with ASD only. Siblings are not allowed to be in the dojo classroom, and are not be left unattended in the waiting room. If you will be bringing a sibling to wait with an accompanying adults, please ensure that the sibling is not interrupting or distracting the karate class.
