This program is intended for families in Simcoe County, made possible by our generous partners at Delta Bingo and Gaming, Barrie Bingo Sponsors Association, and Charitable Gaming. Community Good. If you register and live outside of Simcoe County your registration may be cancelled.

Registration opens January 6 at 12:00 PM

Join us for a 4-Week Yoga program led by Holly Clarke, certified yoga instructor.  Throughout this program, autistic children and their caregiver will engage in different themes, such as breathing exercises, body awareness, and self-regulation techniques. The sessions will be interactive, and participants will be able to engage in various activities, including yoga poses, partner poses, and mindfulness exercises.

This 4-week program will support breathing and self-regulation skills that can be used in class and practiced at home to help when self-regulation is needed. Participants will learn body awareness, balance and how to adapt yoga to fit your body’s needs.

Please bring a yoga mat. Bare feet and comfortable clothing are required.

Registration is required. This is a program for autistic individuals and their caregiver.

Due to the limited class size, we ask that participants who register can attend all four weeks.

Dates: Saturdays, February 1, 8, 15, 22

Time: 1:00 PM

Location: Nook Yoga, 119 Dunlop St. East (Lakeside Entrance), Barrie, ON L4M 1A6

Parent/Caregiver supervision is required. This is not a transfer of care event. The parent/caregiver is required to remain onsite.

Please note that we strive to offer tickets to as many families as possible, but tickets are limited. If, for any reason, you are registered and can no longer attend, please let us know so we can share those tickets with other families.
