Toronto – Relaxed Performance: Peter and the Wolf
** Registration opens October 17 2024 @12:00pm**
Join Autism Ontario at the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) in their musical menagerie with Peter and the Wolf, where a brave young boy and his lively animal friends are brought to life by instruments of the orchestra. Young listeners will buzz with excitement during “Flight of the Bumblebee” and encounter other delightful animal friends on this symphonic safari for little explorers and music lovers alike.
What are relaxed performances? Relaxed performances are intended to be sensitive and welcoming to neurodiverse audiences and those who simply want a more relaxed concert experience.
If you need the accessible seating, please email Kim at kim.tran@autismontario.com as soon as you have confirmed your registration as these seats are also limited. All seating will be on the main floor.
If families need to move around, express themselves vocally, leave the concert hall, or take a break in the quiet room, they are welcome to.
Three rows of seats at the back of the hall will be kept empty should guests wish to move away from the sound of the Orchestra on stage.
Families will have access to a quiet room furnished with comfortable seating, stress-relieving fidgets, and relaxing activities.
The TSO will provide other resources, such as sound-dampening headphones, that can be signed out before the concert and returned afterward.
Make sure to arrive a bit early as children and families can have a bit of time to play in the front lobby. The show will start right at 11AM.
Please note that this event is not exclusive to Autism Ontario families. Headphones and fidget toys are limited.
Please keep an eye out on the Friday before the event for an email that will give detailed instructions for families along with your tickets. Please check your spam as well
