Central East - Haliburton - Fall Festival at Abbey Gardens

** Registration opens on September 5th at 12:00 pm **

Join us for some family fun at the annual Fall Festival at Abbey Gardens! Create fall memories with us as we decorate Halloween cookies, make pumpkin crafts, visit the Harvest Midway games, search the gardens for scavenger hunt clues, and of course, take a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch and pick the perfect pumpkin to take home!

Autism Ontario Staff will be there to greet you and give you your tickets from 9:45 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. After this time, staff will not be available, and your tickets will be forfeited. Please plan accordingly.

10:00am – 10:45am – Families can enjoy the following activities at their leisure:
•        Cookie Decorating
•        Fall Festival Craft
•        Fall Scramble (a scavenger hunt activity)
•        Midway Games

10:45am – Tractor Wagon Ride to pumpkin patch where families can pick a pumpkin to take home.  Each registered child will receive a pumpkin. Additional pumpkins can be purchased at the families expense. 

Families are welcome to stay for the day. Spend the afternoon and pack a picnic lunch or purchase one at the Hub. Visit the heritage breed chickens and ducks.  Bring some quarters to put into the feeder dispenser and feed them through the fence! Visit their ponies, two of which are rare Ojibwe Horses. Visit the garden and play in the mud kitchen. Walk one of the trails!

Savour fall treats! Food and drinks will be available for purchase, at your expense.

This event is open to autistic children, autistic adults and their caregivers. Max of 6 tickets per family. 

This event will run rain or shine.

Cost: $5.00/person. Once registered and paid, refunds will not be issued. Max of 6 tickets per family.

You must register for every person attending. Max of 6 tickets per family. 

Parent/Caregiver supervision is required. This is not a transfer of care event. The parent/caregiver is required to remain onsite.

Please note that we strive to offer spots to as many families as possible, but spaces are limited. If, for any reason, you are registered and can no longer attend, please let us know so we can share those spaces with other families.
