This workshop will help participants understand the concept of discrimination and the negative psychological impact of discrimination on students and parents.  It will cover relevant acts for discrimination in Canada, as well as methods for parents to cope with discrimination.

In order to participate in this event, you will need to be able to access the ZOOM platform; a link will be emailed to all registered participants the day before the event.

本次網絡研討會將幫助參加者了解歧視的概念以及歧視對學生和家長的負面心理影響。它將涵蓋加拿大歧視的相關法例,以及父母應對歧視的方法。

Presenter: Ms. Ashtyn Chau is a counselor at Community Family Services of Ontario. She graduated with Master of Arts in Educational Counseling at The Education University of Hong Kong. During her practices, Ms. Chau has paid particular attention to children and teenagers’ mental health and development as well as special needs. She also is a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator of Positive Discipline Association & National Board of Certified Counselors. She provides effective parenting skills training to reduce parents’ parental stress and increase their parent-child relationship.

周小姐是家和的輔導員。她畢業於香港教育大學教育輔導文學碩士。在她的工作中,周小姐特別關注兒童和青少年的心理健康與發展,以及有特殊需求的兒童。她同時是美國正向管教協會和國家認證顧問委員會的認證正向管教家長教育人員。她提供有效的管教技巧培訓,以減輕父母的父母壓力,增進親子關係。
