Getting the most out of your ABA services

Do you ever feel lost, powerless, overwhelmed, unheard?  You already know so much about your child, but sometimes it’s hard to communicate to professionals.

This presentation will help empower you by:

  1. Learn how your knowledge and expertise about your child already relates to behaviour principles
  2. Understand how ABA professionals view (and respect) behaviour.
  3. Learn where communication between service providers and mediators can often breakdown.
  4. Develop some ways to improve your service (services you receive?) through advocacy and communication. “Your service” seems odd as we are talking about parents. If “services you receive” is correct, French is fine. If not, please clarify and return to me.

November 17th, 2021 7-9pm

This is a 2.0 hour interactive presentation.  You will be invited to share your ideas and experiences and to ask questions.

Shany is a Senior Behaviour Therapist (BCBA) who works with people with autism and intellectual and developmental disability.  He has a passion for training and promoting self-advocacy among families and individuals with disability.

Virtual meeting links will be emailed to participants prior to the session.
