Central West - Autism and Anxiety – Tools for Supporting Your Child

Registration is closed for this event

Do you have a school-aged child on the autism spectrum who also struggles with anxiety?

Join us for a virtual workshop focusing on autism, anxiety, and tools to support your child.  Parents will gain awareness of what anxiety can look like for their children and practical tools to support them at home.

The workshop content is intended for parents who have school-age children.

The workshop will be facilitated by Carizon Family and Community Services staff:

Vicki Hartman BaSc, MA, has had the privilege of working alongside families who have a child with autism over the past 8 years, in both the developmental and mental health sectors. She is passionate about helping children and youth with autism recognize anxiety, while teaching various mindfulness and play-based strategies to help reduce anxious feelings.

Jane Schlumberger, BA-SDS, has worked at Carizon Family & Community Services for five years in Children’s Mental Health. She has experience working alongside families who have children with anxiety, helping them learn effective and practical strategies to reduce their anxious feelings.
