Leaf Rubbing – All age Art Activity

Step #1: Prior to the start of the online activity head out to your yard, neighborhood or park and look for a variety of leaves. Choose leaves that have lots of texture and are a variety of different shapes!

Step #2: For your art activity you will need the following materials:

2-3 sheets of white paper per person- computer paper works great!

Materials for creating the rubbing – Choose either or all – Pencils, crayons, charcoal, pencil crayons or pastels. Any of these materials will work well, so use whatever you have laying around the house and don’t be afraid to experiment!!

Coloured paper- any type of coloured construction or computer paper will do. You can easily use blocks of coloured paper cut from magazines or old wallpaper! Don’t be afraid to use your imagination and get creative!!

Step #3: Make sure you have all your materials ready, and your computer or tablet is set up in front of you. Also, make sure you have a good flat surface to work on.

Step #4: Log into the Zoom link on your computer with the code that has been provided to you! Meet Sarah, your online art buddy who will guide you through this fun activity!
