Occupational Therapist
Occupational TherapistDescription of services offered: This private clinical practice serves preschool and school-age children with a variety of diagnoses including but not limited to: Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disabilities, Attention Deficit Disorder, Developmental Coordination Disorder, Developmental Delays and Sensory Processing Issues.
Clients are seen for assessment, consultation and treatment.
Therapy is customized to meet the needs of each child and family.
Areas of Intervention include:
• Sensory processing (responding to sensory events in every day life)
• Self-regulation (emotional regulation, attention, aggression, impulsivity)
• Gross motor (running, jumping, climbing, balancing, ball skills)
• Fine motor (pencil grasp, scissor skills, using utensils...)
• Visual motor (printing, drawing, colouring...)
• Motor planning (planning, sequencing, carrying out multi-step motor tasks)
• Expanding Food Preferences (accepting new foods into current food range)
• Play Skills
• Self-Care Skills (toileting, dressing, eating)
