CADDA 2014 Conference

 
Registration Deadline is April 16, 2014 On behalf of the CADDA Committee we would like to take this opportunity to announce that the next Conference will be held on April 23 and 24th 2014 at the Hellenic Centre on Southdale Road, London, Ontario.
 
CADDA is a community partnership between 6 strong agencies in our community being Autism Ontario – London, Thames Valley Children’s Centre, CPRI, Community Living London, Hutton House and Fanshawe College. Together we wish to highlight the rich resources and knowledge available in London, SW Ontario and surrounding areas. We have a number of wonderful workshops and exciting key note speakers planned. 
 
CADDA is pleased to offer and provide many workshops for families and professionals to get real life, evidenced based information that represents best practices around issues related to individuals with Developmental Disabilities and or Autism Spectrum Disorder. 
 
CADDA celebrates the richness and expertise in the SW Ontario region and thanks you for your participation.

Autism Ontario offers three post-secondary Educational Scholarships

 Eleanor Ritchie Education Scholarship

for individuals on the autism spectrum entering the first year of a post-secondary program

 Jeanette Holden Educational Scholarship

 for siblings of a person on the autism spectrum who are entering the first year of a post-secondary program

 NEW! MacDonald Family Educational Scholarship

for students with a parent with ASD

Families face staggering costs for autism care
This newly released support looks at the value of caregiver time - the cost of support and care. This detailed and extensive report "finds a patchwork of unequal and incomplete supports for individuals living with autism spectrum disorders. Gaps are particularly evident once individuals leave the public school system, where they are at least provided with some form of day support."
