    Toonies for Autism has a new name!! TOGETHER FOR AUTISM
    Ron & Bonnie, co-chairs of the Together for Autism program are busy getting 2007 materials ready. They are adding more content to the secondary school section of the website, www.togetherforautism.ca.

    To make this section that much more connected to you – our members – we invite you to submit photos of your high-school aged children for possible use in the print package and on the website. Photos, along with a signed release form should be sent to bonnie@togetherforautism.ca (Releases and actual photos can be mailed. Contact Bonnie for details on where to mail them and to get a copy of the release.) Digital photos should be at least 300 dpi. Go ahead and email them to the address above.

    Autism Matters – Focus on Asperger Syndrome
    The January issue of Autism Matters is looking for articles, programs, ideas, suggestions, best practices relating to individuals with Asperger Syndrome.
    It can also be something written by an individual with Aspergers.
    We would like to receive indications of interest by Dec 1, as we will need material by Dec 15.

    NOTICE: November 30 is the Recruitment Deadline for the Information and Communications Standards Development Committee
    Last month you received an email from the Accessibility Directorate of Ontario informing you that the government is now recruiting for the new Information and Communications Standards Development Committee. The email also announced that the initial proposed Customer Service standard is posted on the Ministry website for public review and feedback.

    This is a reminder that the final deadline for applications for the new Information and Communications Standards Development Committee is November 30, 2006.
