From one parent to another…Blood Tests at Home
For those of you who might want simple blood tests done at home rather than at the laboratory, the procedure is very simple. Have the physician's office (or you could do this in advance) call MDS Customer Care Centre toll free at 1-877-849-3637. Ask for the fax number of the local Home Care / House Call program (both names are used). The completed requisition form is then faxed to that number. MDS will advise the patient when they are able to come to the house as well as any preparation required for the testing. There is now a $20 fee for the service. Home Care cannot do a PTH, as it is time sensitive.

A Survey from Muhlenberg College – examining knowledge and attitudes relating to Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Three students and I have been working on a survey examining knowledge and attitudes relating to Aspergers and autism. What is unique about this project is that the items were generated from comments and suggestions by adults with Aspergers. We would appreciate it if you could find the time to complete the survey. It can be found at:

    http://FreeOnlineSurveys.com/rendersurvey.asp?sid=vmve9sgoh89brwx228138

The survey consists of 71 items relating to Aspergers/autism, followed by 20 questions about your background.

Also, if you know of anybody who might be interested in this survey, please feel free to forward the link (or this e-mail) to them. We are hoping for responses from people with the diagnosis, as well as parents, siblings, children, relatives, acquaintances, friends, co-workers, students, teachers, professionals, etc, and anybody who has heard of autism and the autistic spectrum.

    Thank you,
