Annual Chapter Meeting (ACM) Autism Ontario Peel Chapter on

Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm

LOCATION: Loblaws (Heartland) 5970 Mclaughlin Road, Mississauga, ON,  L5R 3X9

We invite you to attend our Annual Chapter Meeting on June 1, 2017. The purpose of this meeting is to elect the 2017-2018 Chapter Leadership Council.

GUEST SPEAKERS - TBD

The Chapter Leadership Council (CLC) is elected by chapter members (in good standing thirty (30) days prior to the Annual Chapter Meeting (ACM).  The CLC members are responsible for the direction and management of the chapter. You may nominate yourself. Elections are held at our ACM each spring and positions are for a one year term.

CLC members are responsible for acting in the best, long-term interests of Autism Ontario - Peel Chapter and its community.

You don't have to have a personal connection to someone with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), but you do have to have the passion to help this organization move forward, and to improve our community.  You must also have a membership with Autism Ontario.  If by chance, your membership has expired, you can renew at the ACM.

For more information about what it takes to be on the CLC, please email: peel@autismontario.com or go to our website at: www.autismontario.com/peel

We also have non-voting positions available (called Members at Large) to those who would like to be involved with advocacy, events and/or the organization of the Chapter but who do not want to run for a voting position. Please express your interest to peel@autismontario.com

Many of you know that Autism Ontario Peel is run solely by volunteers. Currently we have only 5 voting CLC members but with a Chapter this large, we need to have more members on the CLC.

Without your help, we will not be able to continue offering the events and tireless advocacy efforts that we have been offering. As most of us are parents ourselves, we know how precious your time is...but if we all help a little, we can keep this Chapter going strong!

Please join us!  If you are interested, please fill out our Nomination Form (you can nominate yourself), go to http://www.autismontario.com/client/aso/ao.nsf/docs/7b6275e21a97118f85257c8b005f2e29/$file/clc+nomination+form_peel+(1).doc

Please mail forms into address on form or email form to:autismpeel.media@gmail.com

Reminder: Nominations for the Chapter Leadership Council closes on  May 7, 2017 at 5:00 pm. If you are interested, please send an email to autismpeel.media@gmail.com. Biographies of all nominees standing for election will be distributed starting May 8, 2017.

Thank you.
