Vision: Acceptance and opportunity for all individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders
Mission: To ensure that each individual with ASD is provided the means to achieve quality of life as a respected member of society
Who We Are
York Region Chapter was formed in 1987 and is one of 25 chapters of Autism Ontario. A grass-roots organization, we are directed and managed by a dedicated group of parent volunteers. We are the proud families of children, youth and adults living with Autism Spectrum Disorders, their extended family members and our supporting professionals. Our Chapter Office receives no government funding. All programs and services are made possible through the generous support of our community. See our Chapter Profile Flyer for more information.

How We Organize Ourselves
VOLUNTEERS are seldom paid. Not because they are worthless, but because they are PRICELESS!

Our Visual Identity
Our graphic elements are "seeds of potential"
Red is for the initial feelings of helplessness, frustration, and anger when autism is diagnosed. Blue is for hope, change, and support. Green is for growth, vibrancy, living a full life, and the potential of the individual. During 2012, we added the 25 banner in recognition of our 25th anniversary of continuous operation in York Region.
