The WEC Special Stars Soccer League was started and run for Children with Autism-Aspergers in mind. This league is structured to meet the demands of Autism on these Children and Young Adults in our program. We serve the Essex and Kent Counties of Ontario and are growing at at a rate of 200% a year. In 2009 we had 21 kids and 2010 we have 68 kids ranging in age from 6 to 15 years old in 2010. In 2011 we had 92 kids on 14 teams.
In 2012 we have 106 kids ages 4 to 18 years old.
In 2012 the ages will change to 4 years old to 18 years old. Your child will have to be turning 4 in 2012 and can not be turning 19 in year of playing soccer. The League will stop at age 18 years old for Player Enrollment.
We have come a long way since the beginning of the Special Stars and only can hope for a great future of this wonderful league and a great afiliation with the Windsor Soccer Club.

Welcome to 2012 season of the WEC.Special Stars Soccer League . We have expanded from 91 families to 106 families. Our goal as a soccer program is to practise during the spring at General Brock Public School ( 10 Dates ) to teach the kids some soccer drills , motorskills and friendship skills amongst the kids . We then go out to the Ford Test Track in summer to play 8 regular season soccer games ending on Sunday , July 29, 2012 with a Celebration of Achievement Party for all the Famlies . The program runs on Sunday afternoons only for Spring Practises and Regular Summer Soccer League play.

We welcome all Autism Families, Sponsors and the Public to come watch our games and cheer on the kids at Ford Test Track , starting Sunday May 27,2012 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. This will give your family the best perpective on the program. The plan for the 2012 Spring Practises and Summer Soccer Season is to grow from 68 Families to an astounding 106 Families. This will give future families a view into how we do things and the results that the children and their families benefit from the program.
The need is there for this program as it shows we went from 21 players in 2009 to 106 Players in 2012.
If you would like to become a sponsor for a team in 2012 or just help out with a donation for our 2012 Spring Practises ( Program Costs, etc. ) We will be adding to the 8 teams already to 12 teams. We have 4 levels of Soccer Divisions - Tykes 4-5 , Beginners 6-11, Beginners 12-18, Medium 6-11, High Skills 11-18 years old. We charge a small fee with the help of wonderful sponsors to make this program very affordable to the families and in future the need will be greater for help.
