Ontario Early Years Centre
The Ontario Early Years Centre in Cornwall has provided the Play to Learn Space room. Autism Ontario – Upper Canada Chapter (UCC) has supplied the room with toys, games, books, puzzles, a computer and educational software games for young children, as well as software for parents to create flash cards, educational materials and visual supports & communication resources. The chapter also holds its parent meetings at this location.
United Way / Success by 6 SDG
Our chapter has been the recipient of grants from United Way / Success by 6 SD&G. The Equine Learning Opportunity held in 2010 and in the fall of 2009 were made possible by $3000. grants for each year. Our 2007 Family Day activities featuring a bounce castle and visit from Little Ray's Reptiles were made possible by a $1500. grant.
Community Living - Stormont - Early Childhood Integration Support Services
The ECISS is a family centered support system, which integrates children who have a special need or may be ‘at risk’. Supports are provided for children between eighteen (18) months and six (6) years of age, in daycare centres and nursery schools. We also provide supports for children six (6) to twelve (12) years of age in licensed programs. Our service may be provided in any centre in Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry counties.
Community Living Stormont also provides our chapter with workshop and meeting facilities.
SD&G Developmental Services
Since 1987, the Centre has provided services to developmentally and/or physically challenged individuals and their families.
