Provincial Funding Sources

Special Services at Home (SSAH)
This program is not geared to income, and is intended to help defray the costs of caring for someone with a disability in the home. You must apply for this funding annually. Once you receive your funding you pay for services, such as babysitters or support workers, out of your own pocket and submit a signed form for reimbursement.

Assistance for Children with Severe Disabilities (ACSD)
Assistance based on your income level, for parents of children with severe disabilities.

Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP)
This program is for people 18 years and over. It may include supplementary service (monthly drug care, dental care, etc.).

How to Apply
Application forms and guidelines for all these programs are available from the Ministry of Community, Family and Children's Services. The Toronto Region office is 477 Mount Pleasant Road, 3rd Floor. Call 416-325-0500.

Help with Applications
Community Living Toronto offers assistance to individuals for completing SSAH and ACSD paperwork. Call 647.426.3220 or 647.426.3219.
