Chapter Volunteers
Like all volunteer groups, we rely heavily on the input and efforts of our members. Volunteers are always needed for a variety of tasks, including:
* offering personal support and encouragement to parents dealing with a new diagnosis or a change in situation
* speaking to groups, including schools, particularly around the Toonies for Autism campaign each spring
* participating in fundraising and awareness-raising events
* contributing to this Web site and/or the newsletter with items of interest or importance
* letting the executive know what kinds of events and activities you would like to see us undertake
* attending workshops on behalf of the chapter (we will cover your fees) and reporting back to the membership as a whole in a presentation and/or written report
* distributing materials to community groups and agencies
* researching and developing materials
To volunteer for any of these tasks, please contact Cathy Patten (see Contacts page). To open a Word version of the volunteer form that you can email us, click here. Or download a volunteer form in Word format and email it to toronto@autismontario.com.
