About Us
Your Chapter Leadership Council is working hard to build our community capacity. We strive to uphold the vision, mission and values of Autism Ontario within our unique northern community.
One of our challenges as a northern chapter is participation. We are in the process of reneweing the entire chapter, but we need you! In order for our chapter to remain successful, we rely on the existing volunteer time of our leadership council, as well as ideas, participation, and support from our community. This may be as simple as emailing in your ideas and thoughts, telling us what your concerns are so we might help address them, or even sharing an hour or two of your time over the course of a year to help hand out information at community events, or making a few phone calls, or even just attending chapter meetings to share your thoughts. This support leads to our capacity to fundraise, which in turn leads to programming for children and adults in our community with ASD and their families at no cost.
Our first step is getting a consistent and active turnout at our chapter meetings. At our last chapter meeting before summer, we will discuss a consistent meeting time for the fall. We hope to see you there. It's the first step to building a successful chapter.
