Smiles for Santa -  December 17, 2011

Autism Ontario Sarnia Lambton would like to thank everyone involved in making this year’s Holiday Party such a huge success.

Special thanks go to UWO Researh Park for letting us use their conference facilities and to the Huron House Boys Home for outfitting Santa again this year. As always, our volunteers (Jen, Jenny, Josh, Susan and Tiffany) provided a wonderful experience for our families by providing their time and talents on the day of the event.

Everyone had an amazing day, enjoying holiday crafts and activities as well as a special visit from Santa!

Wishing everyone Happy Holidays and a Wonderful New Year!

1st Annual Autism Summer Camp Fun Day and Walk!

On Thursday, August 18, 2011 we had our 1st Annual Autism Summer Camp Fun Day and Walk!

What an exciting day!

A big thank you to all the friends and families who came out. The children all had a great time. Special thanks to everyone that donated either online or in person. It helps us do what we do.

I'd also like to thank Pastor Deve and the congregation of the Sarnia Evangelical Missionary Church for hosting our camp this summer. And finally - thank you to Jenny Van Bree, Camp Director and all the wonderful staff - Amber, Ashley, Jen, Josh, Jackie, Lisa, Larissa, Laura, Angela, Susan, Sabrina, Krystal and Katherine - and our volunteers, Lauren and Margaret.

What a great summer!

Of course the best part was seeing the campers and counsellors walk around the park to raise awareness about autism.

Thanks again for all your support.

    Annual Cycle for Autism

Welcome and thank you for taking an interest in the Annual Cycle for Autism. The Cycle for Autism is the single largest fundraiser for Autism Ontario - Sarnia Lambton Chapter and is a major source of funding for the Chapter, providing funds for everything from rent, to our support groups, to our Resource Library. 1 in 125 Canadians is living with an Autism Spectrum Disorder today. This means that someone you know needs your support.

Every year, the Cycle brings together hundreds of concerned and motivated individuals to create a successful and fun event.  These volunteers and cyclists, individuals with autism spectrum disorders, their families, friends and co-workers do their utmost to make each Cycle for Autism bigger and better than the previous one and help Autism Ontario – Sarnia Lambton Chapter to provide the important services and supports for individuals living with ASDs, their families and friends.

This year's Cycle for Autism was held on Sunday, August 15th 2010.
