Autism Parent Resource Kit

Click HERE for a comprehensive resource for families to better understand autism and the range of services and supports available in Ontario. This resource kit has been developed by the Ontario Ministry of Children and Youth Services.


ASD and Mental Health Blog (York University)

The aim of the ASD and Mental Health blog is to share research regarding mental health and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) with a diverse audience.  The blog contains editorials written by a range of contributors on different topics related to mental health and ASD. It also features research summaries of studies published in a variety of journals, which are related to ASD and mental health, as well as video interviews or relevant videos from other sites, and notable research related news articles.

BlueBee TeeVee- The Autism Information Station

BlueBee TeeVee a webisode series where kids learn all about autism - in a friendly, clinically correct and respectful manner with humor and pop culture references thrown in for fun. Created by two talented men with autism, it's an innovative series that helps children see past differences, learn acceptance, and discover that we’re all pretty much the same at heart. 

Did you know that you can download the video files and episode guides for offline viewing? Teachers are using them in classrooms and parents are sharing with family members for better understanding.​

Caregiving Solutions

Caregiver Solutions is a privately owned consultation, coaching and training service offered to caregivers of individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other profiles and challenges. The goal is to give caregivers information, tools and practice with evidence-based strategies and techniques based in applied behavioural analysis (ABA); in order to increase their capacity and skill sets as caregivers.

Caring and Safe Schools in Ontario is a document which "sets out a framework that system and school leaders may use to strengthen schools’ ability to provide a caring and safe environment, in which responses to behaviour issues are shaped by informed consideration of students’ needs and circumstances" (page 3).

Dental hygientists are now permitted to practice without the presence of a dentist.  All equipment is mobile. The independent Dental Hygiene fee guide is approximately 30% less than ODA fee guide.
