Kids CAN - Kids CAN provides education for children ages 3-14 years. The centre has developed to serve the growing need for programs that focus on building language, interaction and appropriate social and emotional development through a multi-sensory learning experience.
Magnificant Minds is a specialized learning and social skills building center which support visual and hands-on learners with individualized needs, from preschool through to elementary. They provide a welcoming learning environment for students whose needs cannot currently be met in a public school setting, in addition to programs for students requiring a meaningful transition between preschool/daycare and full or partial-integration. Oakwood Academy - Oakwood Academy is a division of Kids CAN Social Centre and developed to serve the growing need for individualized education in a school setting. A uniquely designed curriculum is developed for children who require explicit education and focuses on both academic and social skills.
Step By Step Learning Group - Step By Step provides a unique evidence-based approach to education that allows students to reach their fullest potential throughout their academic career. Children learn the important skills in decoding and reading, writing, and mathematics as well as confidence and increased self-esteem and the motivation to reach their fullest learning potential.
Streetsville Academy - Children are encouraged to play together in an atmosphere which promotes cooperation and sharing allowing them to accept similarities and differences. The school offers a fully integrated program for children with special needs as well as for children with minimal delays such as speech.
Family Support and Other Services
Reach for the Rainbow - Reach for the Rainbow has pioneered the integration of children and youth with disabilities into the mainstream of society through summer camp programs throughout Ontario. Programs provide environments of inclusion for kids and youth while offering much needed respite for parents.
Canadian Mental Health Association - CMHA Peel enhances the well being of all people in the community by promoting and supporting good mental health.
Peel Children's Centre - Peel Children's Centre offers many excellent treatment services for children, teenagers, and families who are having serious issues with relationships, feelings, or behaviour. Peel Children's Centre treat young people under the age of 18 who live within the Region of Peel.
Recreational Respite - Recreation Therapy provides the quality of life for any individual and their familites, who are coping with cognitive (memory or acquired), physical challenge or disability and provide inclusive and successful environments.
Mississauga Parent Child Resource Centres - Mississauga Parent-Child Resource Centres are dedicated to enhancing the lives of parents and caregivers with children ages 0 - 6 by empowering and involving them in their children's learning and development.
Caledon Parent-Child Centre - A non-profit charitable corporation dedicated to providing support, resources and education for families, children and caregivers in Caledon.
Ontario Council for Exceptional Children - The Ontario Council for Exceptional Children is striving to enhance the educational outcomes and improve the quality of life for individuals with special needs.
Peel Behavioural Services - Peel Behavioural Services is a community service that offers functional beavioural assessments, individual programs, brief interventions, consultative assistance, educational sessions groups and a resource library for individuals, families and community agencies within the Region of Peel.
Cooking with Autism - Autism/PDD Family Alliance began serving the needs of teenagers and adults with Aspergers and other forms of autism through innovative services in 2001 - offering specially designed programs for these individuals and their unique learning styles.
Connect Learning Centre Inc. - CLC provides adults with disabilities the confidence and tools to lead an independent lifestyle, through basic life skills training. Their objectives are reflected in everything that they do, which is to contribute to the enrichment of the quality of lives for people who have recently become or currently are disabled.
