Treasurer
Samayan Karim
I am a fourth-year student studying Accounting at the University of Ottawa, and working at Ernst & Young, LLP. I have watched how children with autism create special opportunities for personal growth within their friends and family. The path is not easy, and so it is crucial that the community is able to provide support for these individuals. My goal is to use my area of skills to help make Ottawa a leading example of how individuals with autism are embraced as important members of our community.

Laura Conchie
Secretary
I live and work in the Ottawa area, providing one on one therapy to young children with ASD, and will be graduating in the spring of 2011 with a Masters in Applied Disability Studies from Brock University. Working with children with special needs has been very rewarding, and I am thrilled to be able to help these children to learn and grow. I came to Autism Ontario with the hope to help meet the needs of families and individuals with ASD, and give support where I can to help these individuals to reach their fullest potential.
