Summer Camp Bursary Program 2009
Autism Ontario - Ottawa Chapter is committed to helping families send children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) to summer camp. To that end, we offer the Summer Camp Bursary, a program that reimburses families a portion of camp and recreational programming costs.
Eligible families may receive between $100 and $500, depending on the number of applications received. As there is a deadline for applications, this is not a first-come, first-served process. ALL eligible families who apply before the deadline will receive funding.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicant child must have a documented diagnosis of Autism, Asperger Syndrome (AS), Pervasive Developmental Disorder - Not Otherwise Specified (PDD NOS), or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Proof of diagnosis must be submitted with Application;
Families must volunteer with the Ottawa Chapter. Examples of this include Cycle for Autism, office assistance, Together for Autism school/work campaigns, information fairs, etc.;
Original receipts for camp programming must be submitted before compensation can be provided.
Application Deadline
All applications must be received not later than TUESDAY JUNE 30, 2009.
Timeline
Tuesday June 30, 2009 - Application Deadline
Friday, July 10, 2009 - Families will be informed
Friday July 31, 2009 - Deadline to Submit Original Receipts
Tuesday September 15, 2009 - Families should have received their funds
Wednesday September 30, 2009 - Last day that original receipts will be accepted
