Camp 2018 Chart

In an effort to provide all campers with a safe and supportive camp experience, we will ensure there are designated spaces available for campers requiring 1:1 (1 staff and 1 camper) and 1:2 (1 staff and 2 campers) support.

We will do our best to accommodate each applicant for one week of camp. You will be asked to select your first and second choice of weeks within your camper's age group.

  •  If you are registering a child between the ages of 5 and 12, you will have 3 weeks of camp to choose from for your first and second choice.
  • If you are registering a teen or adult who is 13 years of age or older, there are 3 weeks you can choose from for your first and second choice.
  •  If you are registering a teen (1:2) between the ages of 13 and 19, you will also have the option of registering for our special Teen Drama Week!

In the event that we are unable to accommodate one week of camp for all applicants, applicants will be placed on a waitlist in the order of the date and time of the submitted application.

In the event that our camp has accommodated all applicants, but still has spaces available, applicants will have the opportunity to re-apply for another week of camp, still following the selection criteria on a first come first serve basis, until all spaces are filled.

For full details, please read the Summer Camp Application Instructions.

In order to register and be placed in the first come-first served queue, the application must be completed and submitted no later than

Each year, the Chapter raises over $100,000 in grants and donations to reduce the cost of Summer Camp for our families.  In reality, families only pay for less than 1/3 of the cost of a space at camp.  The situation is challenging when faced with shrinking grant opportunities that are never guaranteed for more than one year.  Our fundraising initiatives help offset any loss in grant revenue, but again, competition is immense and we struggle to respond to all the needs.  We need families to understand the relationship of fundraising to fees and support our efforts to make programs available to everyone no matter their financial situation.

Autism Ontario Funding Program can help cover registration in Summer Camp:
The Niagara Region Chapter's Summer Camp provides one to one support workers and so it is eligible for the Summer Support Worker Funding program through our provincial office.  All individuals under 18 who require 1:1 support and are registered in our camp are eligible to apply for support worker funding for the summer.  If approved, you can apply the funding to cover the cost of camp registration or any other expenses you incur to provide a 1 to 1 support worker for your child.  Applications are being accepted from May 1 - June 2.  All applicants are then entered into a random draw to choose the funding recipients.  For more information about how to apply for the Summer 1:1 Funding, please click here.

Family Funding Applications are being accepted until April 1, 2018 for information CLICK HERE
