Autism Ontario's, Potential Programme is designed to directly support families of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder through the support of highly skilled clinical professionals.
This program also delivers topical workshops by experts in ASD, topics are determined according to a demonstrated interest by families, agencies and other professionals in the local community. We strive to build community capacity by collaborating and partnering with agencies.
The Potential Programme is committed to serving all 9 regions of Ontario by bringing exciting, quality events that support and encourage the social learning and interaction for all those living with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
It is well known that membership to Autism Ontario (while encouraged) is not a requirement in order to access the social learning events and workshops supported and offered by the Potential Programme through Autism Ontario.
The Potential Programme has always been thrilled to be able to offer all events throughout all 9 regions to everyone in all communities, no matter where they live in the Province. We encourage families when travelling across Ontario to access the Autism Ontario website www.autismontario.com to look for events they may be interested in attending in the area you may be travelling to. Participation in all events is open to every child with a diagnosis of ASD and their family, no matter where you live and what chapter you may be a member of.
We have two professionals working out of the London Office. Alicia Romain is our Family Support Coordinator and Marti Lussier is our Community Event Coordinator. They work together to offer workshops, training opportunities and seminars that will be of value to you. A focal point of contact for many families has been through participation in our numerous and varied social activities; referred to as "Social Learning Opportunities".
Families may book an appointment to meet with Alicia or Marti by contacting the London chapter office. On site we have a resource library for families to access a wealth of different books, videos, brochures and more.
We want to hear from you!
