DO YOU HAVE A GRANDCHILD WITH AUTISM?
A grandparent faces double sorrow- for their child and their grandchild -when they hear this diagnosis. As grandparents we want to do all that we can to support our family.
We invite all grandparents to join our Grandparents Support Group.
Our goals are to:
- include grandparents in a circle of help and hope, through providing a real understanding of autism through education.
- provide grandparents with the tools and knowledge that will empower their entire families as they navigate the world of autism.
During the past 3 years grandparents who have attended our meetings have had the opportunity to:
- hear experts speak about the different aspects of autism
- discuss the joys and concerns we have about our grandchildren
- learn that we have a lot in common with other grandparents
- benefit from discussing ways of helping our children and grandchildren.
