The Autism Ontario Grey Bruce Chapter is a chapter lead by a strong volunteer base who have experience with children on the autism spectrum. We have a grassroots approach and are very down to earth. We’ve lived through meltdowns, successes and everything in between. Our journey continues each day, just like yours.
Our goal is to serve our community with a personal approach while linking families to services and opportunities. Our autism community provides connection and support. Our intention is to provide a connection that is often missing from our lives, even if it’s at 2:00 in the morning!
We meet monthly throughout the year. Our annual general meeting occurs in May. Our volunteers lead workshops, speaking engagements, provide administrative support, lead fundraisers, guide social learning opportunities in our community, meet families at events and much, much more. If you see one of our volunteers at a community event or an Autism Ontario SLO, be sure to thank them. They give generously so that our chapter initiatives can continue with success. Without our volunteers we would not be sustainable.
Our Facebook page is a great tool to become aware of upcoming SLO’s and other events throughout the year. We post information that may help your family or even someone else outside the autism community. Our information touches on other diagnosis as well, such as ADHD, ODD and sensory processing issues.
Thank you for your ongoing support. We are always looking for volunteers. If you have a few hours to help support our chapter please be sure to send us a quick Facebook message.
May the Force be with you, always!
