Hollylynn Towie Scholarship Fund
Hollylynn Towie passed away in a house fire in Whitby on April 29th, 2012 along with her two best friends. Holly had a disability called Autism, but despite this she was an excellent student, a loving daughter and a wonderful friend. Her family has given us the honour of setting up a scholarship fund in memory of Hollylynn and has worked tirelessly to raise money for the fund.
The purpose of the fund is to provide financial assistance directly to adults with ASD in Durham Region who are pursuing their dreams and attending a post-secondary institution at any level within Canada. This scholarship is open to first year and returning students. Stay tuned for information on this year's application process.
APPLICATIONS ARE NOW BEING ACCEPTED FOR THE 2017-2018 YEAR. Click here to print the application package. The deadline to apply is April 30, 2017.
