There is nothing we love more than to watch our members enjoying quality family time at one of our events. Whether it’s a Family Day, a Summer BBQ, a trip to the Pumpkin Patch, or Breakfast with Santa, those smiles make everything we do worthwhile.
Did you know that Autism Ontario - Durham Chapter is run solely by volunteers? Some of us work full time outside of the home, while others are stay at home moms. Some of us have children on the spectrum, while others do not. Some of us are able to volunteer many hours of our precious time, while others can only spare a few. The point is: we are each doing all that we can to continue to provide support to our members and their families.
The Durham Region Chapter has a variety of volunteer roles available; from one-time special events, to administrative help, to year-round planning committees, to working with kids and adults who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) - no matter your level of commitment, availability, background or education, we have a volunteer opportunity for you!
If you are interested in helping out or learning more, please join us at our Volunteer Information Night. Members of our Chapter Leadership Council and staff will be available to discuss our volunteer experience and help you decide if Autism Ontario is right for you. You may even win a door prize!
Refreshments will be provided.
