Global Developmental Delay (GDD)
General arrest in development.
HFA (High-functioning Autism)
A non-diagnostic term referring to individuals with ASD who have developmentally appropriate adaptive skills;
in reference to severity of ASD or cognitive abilities.
HOH (Hand Over Hand)
Method of demonstrating a skill by taking the student’s hand in your hand and guiding it to perform the skill; relies on teaching through repetition, used often in ABA/IBI as a full prompt.
